Diagnosis Related Groups
(IR-DRGs): IR-DRG The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has adopted for
inpatient hospital payment. Each inpatient hospital stay is
assigned to one and only one IR-DRG based on the patient’s
age, sex, diagnoses, procedures provided to the patient, and
sometimes other factors. The hospital services included in each
IR-DRG bundle represents the typical services provided across
all hospitals for inpatients with similar reasons for admission.
